The Crestview Police Department Street Crimes Unit is responsible to investigate crimes such as narcotics activity, gang activity, drug houses, wanted fugitves, and chronic crimes (repeated crimes) as well as most other vice crimes where a sustained effort or undercover operation is warranted. The Street Crimes Unit also at times supplements the Crestview Police Investigations Division with major crimes such as but not limited to, murder, rape, kidnapping and major assaults. Additional responsibilities of the Street Crimes Unit include monitoring the city's alcohol establishments, enforcing gambling and liquor laws and participating in many undercover assignments. The Crestview Street Crimes Unit will also conduct muliti-jurisdictional operations with other law enforcement agencies as the need arrises. Although the Street Crimes Unit is a pro-active policing unit, it handles an influx of information from the public regarding suspected narcotics activity and other crimes. Upcoming Events
On July 28, 2010 the Crestview Police Community Service Unit will be conducting Free child safety seat inspections from 9 am until 1 pm at the Eglin AFB Hospital Pediatric Unit.
On July 31, 2010 the Crestview Police Community Service Unit will be conducting Free child safety seat inspections and Child Identification from 9 am until 1 pm at the Macedonia Church during the "No Child Without Insurance" Event.

Sharing and Caring is in dire need of non-parishable food items, diapers of all sizes and personal hygene items. Donations can be dropped off at the Sharing and Caring Office at 298 Martin Luther King Avenue (682-1907) or at the Crestview Police Department at 201 Stillwell Blvd.
