About Chief Taylor
Chief Tony R. Taylor moved to Fort Walton Beach, Florida in 1970. He graduated high school in 1976 and joined the Fort Walton Beach Police Department in 1977 as an Auxiliary Patrolman. Chief Taylor rose through the ranks holding every rank to Captain during his career with the Fort Walton Beach Police. Retired after over three decades of honorable service to the citizens of Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa County, he became the Chief of Police for the City of Crestview in 2012.
Chief Taylor’s primary goals for the Crestview Police Department, include accreditation, transparency, and the overall safety of the public.
Chief Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Troy State University and is a graduate of the F.B.I. National Academy (193rd Session).
